Love the house, price is right but can’t quite make up your mind? .
Here are a few tips to give you a different perspective on the property, apart from the usual open house inspection.
1. Take a walk round the neighbourhood and see how it feels. What can you hear - traffic, planes, birds singing? Is it deserted, or are there people out and about? 2. Go back and look at the house at different times of the day – does it get plenty of sun, or is it in the shade most of the day? Is there not enough shade? Is it likely to get sun in the winter? 3. Does the house have potential for improvement? If it could do with another coat of paint, for instance, that may put other buyers off now, but once done, will increase both future value and appeal.
